Can I get a holla if you still read this blog?
I'm in D.C. now. It's bittersweet. I'm excited, but sad that California is no longer my home. I kind of feel like I'm camping out in my new apartment as I wait for our shipping cubes to arrive. They probably won't get here until Tuesday so until then, it's just me, my two suitcases, my makeshift bed in the corner, and a desk I assembled all by myself!
I am going to try to get some school supplies today (isn't that the best part about school?). I also want to donate my hair again, so I need to find a place to do that at some point. It's only a quick couple of weeks until orientation starts and my freedom / life is no longer my own. One of my professors emailed my section our assignment for the first class! The days of shopping classes are gone, that's for sure. In his email he's all like, you don't have to worry about this right now, enjoy the rest of your summer. Okay, dude. I won't think about it again until a couple of days before class. Right. I haven't picked up my textbooks yet, so I'm not obsessing about it as much as a could be. I'm sure there are people who are holed up in a library already. Whatever.
Oh and there was a thunder / lightning storm at like 5am today. It freaked me out at first because the thunder was really loud, but then it reminded me of how much I missed them, and it's not even raining anymore so that isn't a bad deal.
I miss ya'll and having a bed...
